About Subphotic

I've spent almost 30 years making music, and been part of a ton of releases, mostly in Norway but also internationally, both as a beat maker and scratch DJ, and I've mixed and mastered tons of songs. 

In my experience, the greatest road block to finishing and releasing music is mixing and mastering. It's frustrating to have an awesome production done only to leave it on your hard drive because it just doesn't sound good. A lot can be done in production, but the final, polished result demands some knowhow and practice. 

Having struggled massively with this for years, I'm passionate about showing you how to make your songs sound as good as possible, using the equipment you already have - preferably. 

Therefore, I started this Youtube channel and this blog, gifting away free resources and doing one on one consulting with people from all around the world on how to finish more music, mix and master it so they can release it with confidence and pride without having to book a producer or an engineer every time a new song idea pops into their heads.
