10 Plugins for Music Production to Continue Using in 2025

I recently did a Youtube Live about 10 plugins I will continue using in 2025. Unfortunately, the video met some technical issues, but the plugins are GREAT. Take a look: 

There are 3 categories: Production, mixing and mastering. First off the production plugins: 

1. The Quick Sampler in Logic Pro

 The Quick Sampler is a single-sample tool with a simple, user-friendly interface, making it great for quick sound manipulation. Unlike older Logic plugins like Ultrabeat, Quick Sampler’s controls are large and intuitive. You can easily drag a sample into it, slice it, and adjust settings like pitch and filters. For example, I imported a loop from Splice, sliced it into eight parts, and created a groove by manually tweaking slices. It's a fast, efficient way to build and shape loops for your beats.

2. Baby Audio BA-1 Synthesizer

This synth emulates a vintage toy synthesizer from the ’80s and is perfect for adding unique textures to sample-based music. Packed with presets, BA-1 also allows deep customization of sound, including a “Battery” control that adds grit for a lo-fi vibe. I used it to create a complementary melodic layer, tweaking filters, reverb, and chorus to fit my track. Its simplicity and retro feel make it a fun addition to any production.

3. Baby Audio Transit

Transit is a production effects plugin that adds movement and texture. Its standout feature is a macro knob that can be automated to create evolving effects. I applied Transit to my main loop and used presets to find something interesting. After automating the macro, I added subtle dynamic changes, giving the loop more life and variation.
